Summer Reading

These are four of the books I read this summer.  I'd recommend any of them, but the Oppenheimer book is 850 pages long and not exactly a page-turner.

The Girl Who Loved Camelias is about Marie Duplessis, the legendary French courtesan who died at age 23 but inspired many works including  Dumas' novel La Dame aux Camélias, Verdi's opera La Traviata, and the classic Cukor film Camille, starring Greta Garbo in her greatest role.
